She entered the Russian Department of the Faculty of Philology at Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University in 1993.
She graduated from the Russian Department of the Faculty of Philology at Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University in 1998.
She had been a degree-seeking student at the Department of Russian Philology at Ivan-Franko National University of Lviv since November 1998.
She had been a doctoral candidate at the Extramural Department of Russian Philology at Ivan-Franko National University of Lviv since November 1999.
She became a teaching assistant at Department of world literature at Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University in September 2003.
She defended PhD thesis in specialty 10.01.02 – Russian Literature at V.I.Vernadskyi Taurida National University. (Subject of dissertation: V.K.Kuchelbecker – literary critic. (Ideas. Genres. Style) in December 2004.
She had been working at the position of Associate Professor at the Department of World Literature and Comparative Literature at Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University between May 2007 and May 2009.
She received the Diploma of Associate Professor of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine in June 2010.
She is an Associate Professor at the Department of World Literature and Comparative Literature at Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University at the present time.
She gives courses of lectures in the following disciplines: “Literary Slavic Studies”, “Translation in the System of Literary Comparative Studies”, “Comparative Literature”, “Postcolonial Studies: the Phenomenon of Postcolonial Literature”, “Slavic Folklore”, “Folklore and Literary Local History”, “Foreign Literature (the Middle Ages and the Renaissance)”.
She participates in international and all-Ukrainian scientific and practical conferences on topical issues of foreign literature, Polish literature, methods of teaching foreign literature, etc.
She supervises master’s and bachelor’s works of students in Polish and Czech literature, as well as works in the sphere of English literature performed by students of the Faculty of Foreign Languages.
Her scientific interests include problems of foreign literature and methods of teaching, current problems of contemporary Russian literature, Polish literature, problems of Ukrainian-Polish literary relations.
Born on April 5, 1976 in Zhovkva (Nesteriv), Lviv region. In 1998, she graduated from the Russian Department of the Philological Faculty of the Precarpathian University. Since 2005, she has been a member of the teaching staff of the same educational institution, first as an assistant professor of the Department of World Literature and French, and later as an associate professor of the Department of World Literature.
In 2004, she defended her PhD thesis in Russian literature “V. K. Küchelbecker – Literary Critic (Ideas. Genres. Style)” (scientific supervisor – Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Russian Philology of the Ivan Franko Lviv National University L. I. Polyakov; official opponents – Doctor of Philological Sciences, Professor, Head of the Department of Humanitarian Training and Identification of Cultural Values of the Academy of the Customs Service of Ukraine (Dnipropetrovsk, now Dnipro) O. L. Kalashnikova, Doctor of Philological Sciences, Professor, Head of the Department of World Literature of the Volodymyr Korolenko Poltava National Pedagogical University O. M. Nikolenko).
Currently, she is an Associate Professor of the Department of World Literature and Comparative Literature of the Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University.
Married, has two daughters.

Teaches standard academic disciplines such as: “Folklore and Literary Local History”, “Slavic Folklore”, “Foreign Literature (Antiquity and the Middle Ages)”, “Foreign Literature (Romanticism-Realism)”, “Foreign Literature of the 20th Century”, as well as the free choice discipline “Poetics of Adventure in World Literature” in philological specialties of the bachelor’s level of higher education.
Supervises course and master’s projects at the Faculty of Philology and the Faculty of Foreign Languages. In particular, on December 16-17, 2024, four master’s theses were successfully defended at the Faculty of Philology:

Actively participates in all faculty and departmental scientific, career guidance and general cultural projects
Olena Terekhovska continues to work within the framework of the departmental theme “Literary Process and Creative Individuality of the Writer”.
Today (December 2024) she is the author of 45 scientific publications published in professional domestic and foreign journals and collections of abstracts and conference materials, one of which is in the publication included in the Scopus scientometric database, two included in the Web of Science scientometric database.
